The platform-independent open source free math software distribution
SAGE (Software for Algebra and Geometry Experimentation)
incorporates GMP (and MPFR) with several other pieces of math software
to provide a unified environment for serious research mathematics
computations via a Python library and command-line interpreter.
You might wish to add a link from

to SAGE (http://sage.sf.net), since SAGE provides another framework
for users to download, build, and use GMP.
