Elliptic Curve multiplication

Hi,

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question, but the gmp-ecm list
seems to have died last year...

I want to use the ecm library to implement a signature scheme using
elliptic curves. Is this possible? I am most interested in
multiplication of curve points with other curve points and with gmp
mpz_t. I can not find documentation revealing the interface to achieve
this. Can someone point me in the right direction?
