It would be much simpler if you could use the (free) MinGW compiler and the
(free) MSYS shell. It's then simply a matter of following the instructions
in the gmp manual (

You could probably use that build of gmp with Borland if you so desired.
(Looking at point 4 at http://cs.nyu.edu/exact/core/doc/FAQs.html , I gather
that you'll need to first run Coff2omf. There's also a mention of having to
amend gmp.h - which may no longer be necessary.)

Other than that, you could use Google to try and find out what others have
done.
