Actually, OpenSSH before v2.1.x *WAS* on GMP, it was inherited from
SSH.com's sources (with GMP v2.0.2).
Then they decided to avoid it.

I don't know if OpenSSL are the same people as OpenSSH.
I'll ask on their list.
