You should check, that sounds the likely cause. Perhaps somehow the
inheritance of precision in mpf_class expressions has gone wrong.
Dunno if this would be the fault of icc or gmpxx.h.
(Cc Gerardo if this seems to be the problem, I'm not sure he normally
reads this list.)
