Oh, well, their names are not a model of clarity.  v9 is really an
arch not an abi, and v8plus for v9 running 32-bits is especially
confusing to the uninitiated.

In any case we use the cpu part of the config tuple to indicate a cpu
type, and keep notions of abi separate.  This makes it easy to
introduce exact cpu names, like ultrasparc2i or whatever.
