Apart from the collateral damage from the C library sscanf, I don't
think we know of any specific problems.
I agree that this problem isn't terrible for GMP itself. (As
sscanf is a quite important function, many other things may start
failing. I would assume this could actually cause security
issues.)
But please make sure you can get a clean check in all function
classes' test subdirectories before you use the corresponding
function class.
