Developing GMP for Amd processors

Do you have a Better Business Bureau in Sweden? All companies will comply with them in reasonable circumstances because the BBB will take them to court if they don't follow through. You don't have to pay anything, just fill out an online form and potentially accept 1 phone call from them about the situation. I've used the BBB once in Canada and it was easy and successful. In Canada, the seller (Amazon) would be responsible for returns, not AMD, unless you agreed to something at the time of purchase. They need to make it obvious to you at the time of sale that all returns are done through the manufacturer.

Subject: Developing GMP for Amd processors

I purchased an Amd 9950X CPU from Amazon Sweden last autumn. Last
February the system with this CPU died while running GMP tests. I
suspected the motherboard, and purchased a new one.

It turned out to be the CPU which had broken.

Well, using the warranty should be no problem, right? We have strong
consumer protection laws here, which mandates the sales company to
handle warranty returns. In this case Amazon. But they make that
impossible through their web interface, and instead link to Amd. Oh,
well, not legal but I have no time for this, so I follow the link to
Amd.

I need to "register an account". But wait, I cannot register an account
as my name and address contains "Non-Alphanumeric" characters. OK, so I
edit my name, street address and city name. But that still doesn't work
as Amd does not allow me to do this as a private individual. They
require a company name.

I am stuck with an expensive dead Amd CPU which I, according to law,
should have replaced.

This is completely unacceptable. I will not volunteer any more of my
time developing GMP for Amd CPUs.
