Since I haven't seen it mentioned yet, let me send a "Happy Pi Day"
greeting to members of this mailing list. For those few who might not
know, "Pi Day" falls on March 14 (3/14) of each year. Those who are
curious can read the Wikipedia article or visit www.piday.org.
Personally, I have no interest in knowing the value of Pi to billions of
digits. On the other hand, the algorithms for computing it fascinate me.
(Also, it's nice to have an excuse to eat a slice of pie.)
Many thanks to the GMP development team for all their work that enables
many mathematical calculations. An extra thanks to Torbjörn Granlund who
first created the library and who continues to contribute to and to
shepherd its development.
