gmp configure fails

Torbjorn is quite correct in that you can't expect detailed help here.

However, typing "fork: Cannot allocate memory" (with the quotes) into
Google turns up quite a lot of detailed help elsewhere.

The help you get here, which you should commit to memory, is "Google is
your friend".
