Porting benchmarks to Java

Hi,

I would like to modify the behaviour of the java.math libraries for the 
GNU classpath project. In order to measure if there is a benefit in 
doing this I would like to assemble benchmarks. I have created a project 
on sourceforge for this purpose (http://bigintbench.sourceforge.net/). I 
propose to rewrite the albeit simple gmpbench benchmarks first of all, 
with the code again being available under the GPL. I hope I get the 
consent of the authors to do so.
