64-bit GMP on Apple G5/OS X v10.4 (Rev 2)

Does this mean that there is no 64-bit support in for other G5 processors.

In another twist, there is an article in the newsgroup comp.sys.mac 
that says that Apple will switch to Intel processor. It cites

The article says that the announcement is expected Monday at Apple's 
Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco, at which Chief 
Executive Steve Jobs is giving the keynote speech.
