The m1 only supports one of the two, offhand I cant recall if it's PAC 
or BTI.
But you can check with something like this:
cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep -E -o "bti|pac" | sort | uniq

The m4 should support both, but you would want to run Linux on it too.
