I just noticed that gmp-5.1.3 identifies Ivy bridge and Haswell cpus,
but gives them the moniker "coreisbr", leaving the impression that it
  mixes up with Sandy bridge.

The main repo has newer code, where Haswell is separately recognised.

It still considers Ivy bridge = Sandy bridge. Maybe it shouldn't, since
their execution behaviour is not identical. But for GMP, they run the
same loops well.
