Depending on the number of options that may be passed to configure, many
more configurations could be usefully tested. For mpc, the nightly tests
use the four configurations
  no parameter
  --disable-shared
  --disable-static
  --enable-logging (a configure flag added by us),
and these are actually not all mutually exclusive.
