Unfortunately, we don't have resources to debug Apple's compilers, and
then consider to implement GMP workarounds.

We do have Apple hardware, but Apple by policy blocks newer Macos
versions from slightly out-of-date Apple hardware.  And Apple by policy
blocks newer compilers from older Macos version.

It is not clear what to do.  Should GMP recognise and block Apple
compilers?  We could have a white list of the compilers we know are
good.
