Outdated libtool creates trouble on macOS

One option to get a kind of windows testing is to cross compile, 

 ./configure --host=x86_64-w64-mingw32

and run tests using wine. On debian, the cross compiler is in the
package "gcc-mingw-w64-x86-64-win32".
