GMP test suite failures on Ubuntu 16.04 on virtual box

Perhaps the user which runs "make check" lacks write permission to
thebuild dir?  Some I/O tests write in . (which is perhaps silly, but
there you go).  Else, your disk might be full.

Or Oracle's Virtualbox thing isn't working properly.  It is known to
cheat with disk writes for the benefit of benchmarking.  Who cares about
correct operation?
