It is slow to test these huge operands, and while we do have some big
machines for GMP testing, there is more work to be done for huge operand
testing.

In order to make huge operand operations long-term robust, we need to
have test suite support for it.  But most users don't want a test suite
which takes hours to run, so huge tests need to be optional.
