  Hello,

  I compiled gcc-4.9.2 on an Ubuntu 14.04 machine, basic compiler
  gcc-4.8.4, and I got the following output of "make check":

  PASS: t-lucnum_ui
  /bin/sh: line 4: 12228 Segmentation fault      (core dumped) ${dir}$tst
  ...
  ====================================
  1 of 58 tests failed

Your build log is from a gcc build, which apparently uses an
archaeological version of GMP which gcc presumably miscompiled...

While you're told to report the tests failure to us, that's wrong.
Please report it to whomever suggested that you use such obsolete
software.
