GMP Library Self Tests

Hi,
This is not really a bug. It's a feature request.

I am cross-compiling GMP on a linux pc and targeting an ARM linux system. In this case "make check" fails of course. But I would like to always build the tests without failing the build process.

It would be nice if you could detect cross-compilation and go ahead and build the tests and maybe a shell script to execute them on the target, rather than attempt to execute the tests on the build machine and failing.

I would do this myself but I am a total novice when it comes to autotools. I looked and I can't even tell where this is done :)
