Ah, indeed, clang-3.4 fails. I had only tested clang-3.5 and clang-3.6 
which both enable neon by default. I would be ok with ignoring releases 
3.3 and 3.4 for aarch64 (preliminary support, largely rewritten for 3.5 
according to the release notes), but I assume you will want to support 
them anyway...
