Dear Sir:

I am having trouble installing GMP. I have a PC with an AMD A6-3620 processor. I am running C++ under Linux Fedora 20, and have installed the latest 64-bit g++ compiler.

Here is what I did:

I downloaded gmp-6.0.0a.tar.bz2

cd Downloads
cp gmp-6.0.0a.tar.bz2 /
cd /
bunzip2 gmp-6.0.0a.tar.bz2
tar -xvf gmp-6.0.0a.tar
cd gmp-6.0.0
./configure

The following error message was printed:

Checking for suitable m4...configure: error: No usable m4 in $PATH or /usr/5bin
(see config.log for reasons)

The make command gives an error message.

Help, please!

P.S. It might be simpler to merely supply the gmp.h or gmpxx.h file appropriate for my computer (and any other necessary files), which I can simply copy into the folder for library include files:

/usr/include/c++/4.8.3
