Sure, thumb-*-* and thumb2-*-* need handling in configure.ac too.

I'm surprised to note that thumb code generation the default for gcc on
some platforms.  Our two physical arm systems actually disagree, The A9
panda.gmplib.org defaults to arm, the A15 parma.gmplib.org defaults to
thumb.  And armv5.gmplib.org/armv7.gmplib.org defaults to arm.
