I don't see any reason to change the testsuite simply because someones compiler
is broken.  If that were the case then the GMP sources would have been changed
years ago to enable compiles to be done with old Sun Studio 11. Which never
worked ... even once. 

I just did a build and test run on Solaris 10 and I did use gcc 4.7.2.

Every test passed.  Everything flawless.  No need to "fix" gmp.
