GMP make check Failed

This is a very very old GMP release which we no longer maintain.
  
  gcc (GCC) 4.8.1 20130603 (Red Hat 4.8.1-1)

I suspect this is the culprit.  Private GCC releases have a worse
history than the FSF releases.
