All of these build and completely pass make check. So current gmp trunk seems
  ready for RC3 on darwin.

Thanks for testing and re-testing!

I have tested on two different systems:

  mcdermott3$ uname -a
  Darwin mcdermott3.mcs.st-and.ac.uk 10.6.0 Darwin Kernel Version 10.6.0: Wed Nov 10 18:13:17 PST 2010; root:xnu-1504.9.26~3/RELEASE_I386 i386
  mcdermott3$ gcc -v
gcc version 4.2.1 (Apple Inc. build 5666) (dot 3)

  keltner$ uname -a
  Darwin keltner.nada.kth.se 12.2.0 Darwin Kernel Version 12.2.0: Sat Aug 25 00:48:52 PDT 2012; root:xnu-2050.18.24~1/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64
  keltner$ gcc -v
gcc version 4.2.1 (Based on Apple Inc. build 5658) (LLVM build 2336.11.00)

The former has worked all the time, the latter broke with yesterday's
change but now works again.

I'll wait for another nightly build, to make sure RC3 is not worse on
any platform than RC2.

Actually, I think we're ready for the real release if the nightly builds
don't expose any new problems.
