You're right about that we should avoid non-pic code which shared lib, to really allow for sharing, and also save load time. This affects at least three x86_64 files (mod_34lsub1.asm, sqr_basecase.asm, mullo_basecase.asm). I will consider fixing this before the release. Tanks for the feedback on this! -- Torbjörn
