Build failure for 5.1.0-RC2 on Mac OS 10.8

When trying to build on Mac OS 10.8.2 I get:

ld: in section __TEXT,__const reloc 0: X86_64_RELOC_SUBTRACTOR must have
r_extern=1 for architecture x86_64
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
