gmp-5.0.1 failure to compile on i686 using --host=arm-cortex_a8-linux-gnu

Look at ./configure --help and the --build option.

If you set the --build and --host options different, some of the tests
are not run.

I have not tried this for some time, but, IIRC, this is what I did.
