Compiling GMP on OS X 10.6 (snow leopard)

That is fails at t-bswap is another indication that this could be a 32
to 64 bit issue.

It turns out that a friend of mine put is distribution on my machine
and it compiles and checks cleanly. It is a funny thing that the
sizes of the distributions are the same. I got mine from your sight
gmplib.org. He doesn't seem to remember where he got his. Perhaps
using Darwin Ports or fink.

I was going to include his distribution here but since I use Goggle
Apps - they won't let me send it for 'security reasons'. (They
complain about executables in the distribution) I've written to
Google complaining that since I have paid email service I should be
able to send these files. (!!)

For now I seem to have a gmp library installed - but I don't trust the
source. I'd rather use your distribution directly.

Thanks for all your help.

Katie
