Hi Torbjorn,
I discovered that Solaris and SCO both retired Ranlib several releases
back as it was replaced with the "ar" with the -s option. I was able to
set variable RANLIB="ar -s" and process the configure once again.
I am not an expert by no means, but reviewing the config.log file this
time, it appears to have a problem with some of the variables in
confdefs.h. I have attached the config.log file once again. You did help
me the last time as I was able to locate a substitute for ranlib.
