3 cxx tests fail on i386-pc-solaris2.8 ABI=32

You got that wrong.  It is "Linsux" and "Windoze".  :-)

For what I am doing FreeBSD > GNU/Linsux > Slowlaris.  YMMV.

But speed and size isn't everything, and the Slowlaris user experience
feels too much 1980'ies for me.  Troll, troll.  :-)

  Yep .. that is what I am doing this morning. Again, I have no docs on what
  that test is doing or what to expect.

It should exit with code 0.  It should not segfault, abort, delete all
your files, exit with non-zero etc.  :-)
