Problem building GMP 4.2.4 on Solaris 10 with Sun Studio 12

I'm getting the following warnings when building 64-bit GMP 4.2.4 on 
Solaris 10 T1000 with Sun Studio 12:

"../gmp-impl.h", line 2811: warning:  attribute "mode" is unknown, ignored
"../gmp-impl.h", line 2811: warning: attribute parameter "SI" is undefined
"../gmp-impl.h", line 2812: warning:  attribute "mode" is unknown, ignored
"../gmp-impl.h", line 2812: warning: attribute parameter "SI" is undefined
"../gmp-impl.h", line 2813: warning:  attribute "mode" is unknown, ignored
"../gmp-impl.h", line 2813: warning: attribute parameter "DI" is undefined
"../gmp-impl.h", line 2814: warning:  attribute "mode" is unknown, ignored
"../gmp-impl.h", line 2814: warning: attribute parameter "DI" is undefined

Running "make check" passes all tests.  What causes this?  Is there 
anything wrong that I need to fix, or is this a known issue?
