Undefined behaviour causing problems on AVR32

  Ugh. Hmm, back to my original patch then, why does adding a 4 argument to
  the call with 3 args causes crashes when it's pointing to fscanf? I can't
  immediately see why that should be the case.
  
Me neither, and now I cannot reproduce the crash.

I put the first proposed code in GMP 4.3.0, plus the NULL pad paramater.
