FW: Warnings that Configure script said to report

Please help,

I'm attempting to build the GMP library for use with the Perl
Math-GMP-2.04 module & I'm having issues.

Attached is the config.log file & it said to send the logs to you due to
an issue it found.
configure:24801: WARNING: sys/sysinfo.h: present but cannot be compiled
configure:24803: WARNING: sys/sysinfo.h:     check for missing
prerequisite headers?
configure:24805: WARNING: sys/sysinfo.h: see the Autoconf documentation
configure:24807: WARNING: sys/sysinfo.h:     section "Present But Cannot
Be Compiled"
configure:24809: WARNING: sys/sysinfo.h: proceeding with the
preprocessor's result
configure:24811: WARNING: sys/sysinfo.h: in the future, the compiler
will take precedence

I'm able to build the module without any problems & run "make check" &
"make install", but when I attempt to test it out with the above Perl
module,it fails to link to libgmp.a

ld: 0712-001 Symbol __gmpz_init was referenced
      from module
/home/cleach/AixPerl/Math-GMP-2.04/blib/arch/auto/Math/GMP/GMP.so(), but
a runtime definition
      of the symbol was not found.

It stopped reporting errors after the 7th unresolved symbol similar to
the one above.  Sounds like the symbols are being stripped from the
library that was installed!

As far as I can tell, here is a list of files installed.
info/gmp.info-2
info/gmp.info-1
info/gmp.info
info/dir
include/gmp.h
lib/libgmp.a
lib/libgmp.la

Any assistance would be appreciated.
