Re: mpf_div with args of different sizes I forgot to include in my problem report that I do have a simple and effective workaround: that is, to pad the divisor with Z trailing zeroes, choosing Z to minimise N mod (M + Z). This effectively restores optimality. Cheers Jim White ANU Canberra
