There have been hundreds of gcc releases, I am sure many of them
will NOT miscompile gmp for your platform.
I will try to take a look at gmpxx.h and reorganize it so xlC
could compile it. What I would like to do is to compile the
same code (with respect to config.h and other files depending
on the system) at Windows and Aix. I hope there is easy way
through those templates :)
Good luck. The vendor C++ compilers are very rarely capable of
understanding the modern (i.e. 10 years old) C++ gmp uses. I am
not even testing it during the gmp nightly builds, as it just
causes headache.
